Juan Pablo Montoya won the NASCAR Sprint Cup race this weekend at Watkins Glen. It is his third NASCAR win, the second on the Sprint Cup level. In 2007, Montoya won the Nationwide Series race in Mexico City and the Sprint Cup series race at Infineon Raceway. All of JPM's victories have come on road courses. Finally, the new St. Louis Region SCCA Web site is ready, along with the St. Louis SCCA Club Racing site. Took me a while, what with having a job and school and family and friends and a life. The old Web sites were quite horrid, imagine a robotic slob threw up some pixels on your computer screen and that's about what you had. Thankfully, those pixels are all lost in cyberspace now.

This weekend I went to a polo match at Spirit Valley Farms. It was a charity event, a benefit for Longmeadow Rescue Ranch, a division of the Humane Society of Missouri. After traveling 11 hours by plane, shuttle, and rental car I was finally poolside on Anna Maria Island. I've been traveling here for almost as long as I can remember. The hop on hop off tour bus of Dublin is far superior to the one in London. For starters, there are about three times as many stops on the London tour, which I suppose is to be expected. Many of them, though, are for mundane things. The Queen's Museum of Mattresses and Quilts and and Offices of the Ministry of Pixie Sticks and other such drivel.We finally disembarked at the stop near the H.M.S.
